Specialized Skilled Home Health for Complex Patients on Federal Programs
Locally owned. Nurse-led. Las Vegas, Nevada.
We specialize in patients who require more coordination, more advocacy, and more expertise than traditional home health agencies are built to provide.
Expert Home Health Care for Complex Conditions
Alara helps patients safely recover, maintain independence, and navigate complex healthcare needs at home. We support patients managing chronic illness, recovering from surgery, navigating federal healthcare programs, or coordinating care across multiple providers. Our role is to simplify healthcare for patients and families while delivering the clinical support needed to remain safely at home.
We are a locally owned home health agency serving Clark County and Southern Nevada.
Most patients pay nothing out of pocket.
Serving Those Who Served Us
Who We Serve
Alara Home Care was built by clinicians for patients with complex needs and hard-earned benefits. We serve patient populations that other agencies in Las Vegas are not fully equipped to handle.
Former Nevada Test Site and DOE Workers
If you worked at the Nevada Test Site, a Department of Energy facility, or an Atomic Weapons Employer site, you may be covered under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA). This federal program provides lifetime medical benefits for approved conditions related to occupational exposure.
Your White Card may cover skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health aide services, durable medical equipment, and other medically necessary care at no out-of-pocket cost. Many eligible workers and families are unaware of the full range of benefits available to them.
Alara specializes in serving White Card beneficiaries throughout Southern Nevada. We help patients understand their benefits, coordinate care with their physicians, and access skilled services in the comfort of their homes.
We can assist you in accessing your benefits - you can read more about the program and connect with us to get started.
Veterans in Southern Nevada
Southern Nevada is home to more than 240,000 veterans, many of whom may qualify for home health services through the VA Community Care Network. These benefits can help veterans receive skilled care at home rather than traveling to appointments or facilities when health challenges make leaving home difficult.
Covered services may include skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, home health aides, chronic disease management, medication education, and support following hospitalization. Care is authorized by the VA and delivered in coordination with your healthcare team.
Alara is currently enrolling as a VA Community Care Network provider for Region 4. Veterans interested in receiving home health services may join our priority list while enrollment is finalized.
Federal Employees and Postal Workers
Federal employees who have experienced a work-related injury or illness may qualify for home health services through the Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs (OWCP). These benefits are designed to support recovery, maintain independence, and help individuals safely remain at home when skilled care is medically necessary.
Depending on the approved condition and physician orders, covered services may include skilled nursing, therapy services, home health aides, wound care, medication management, and care coordination. Services are tailored to each patient’s needs and delivered under the direction of their treating physician.
Alara works closely with physicians, case managers, and federal workers to coordinate care, navigate authorizations, and provide high-quality home health services throughout Southern Nevada.

Why Patients and Physicians Choose ALARA
A Director of Nursing Reviews Every Case Our DON reviews every start-of-care OASIS assessment before submission. This is not standard practice in this industry. It means better documentation, more accurate coding, and better outcomes for patients.
We Know the White Card Program Most home health agencies in Las Vegas rarely encounter EEOICPA patients. We built our operations around this population. We know the billing codes, the authorization process, the consequential condition pathway, and how to get claims paid in 15 to 28 days.
Local and Accountable Alara Home Care is a Nevada-licensed agency serving Clark County. When you call, you reach the clinical team. When you call, you reach the clinical team. We serve Clark County and surrounding areas. Our nurses live in the communities where they work.
VA Care Without the Wait The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System serves over 240,000 veterans. Demand routinely exceeds capacity. Alara helps eligible veterans access skilled home health care through the Community Care Network, often with faster access than waiting for a VA appointment.
Zero Tolerance for Authorization Gaps Our scheduling system blocks visits without a valid authorization number. Auth renewals are tracked 45 days in advance. Patients never receive care they are not covered for.
Technology That Gets Out of the Way Our clinical staff use AI-assisted documentation, which means notes are captured during the visit rather than typed after it. Nurses spend their time with patients, not their backs turned to a screen. When technology handles the administrative load, care quality goes up. That is the only reason we use it.
